Restoring patient-level clarity in clinical workflows

Attestations is a clinical alerting tool that helps healthcare practitioners maintain a clear overview of what needs attention for each patient. But in Clinic24 they used to be sorted by priorities and listed per type (questionnaire results, values, tasks to perform,…).

The problem: Clinicians lacked a reliable overview per patient. Outstanding tasks and alerts were fragmented across the list and the platform, forcing practitioners to mentally piece together what still needed to be checked.

We started with early prototype testing to understand how clinicians interpreted alerts and patient-level overviews in real workflows.

These sessions helped validate the core concept and revealed the need for faster ways to handle multiple attestations at once.

Based on this feedback, we developed a second prototype focused on batch attesting, allowing clinicians to review and resolve multiple items efficiently without losing patient context.

This iteration was then tested with a broader group of clinicians and nurses to validate usability. The feedback confirmed that batch interactions significantly reduced effort while preserving clarity at the patient level.

Outcome

  • Clear patient overviews

  • Reduced cognitive load and context switching

  • Better prioritisation across patients

  • Improved continuity during handovers

This new “Attestations” page turned clinical alerts into actionable, patient-centered to-dos where nothing critical gets lost.
