On StyleShoots machines, the camera and the lights are controlled by a software running on an iPad app.

Since I have joined StyleShoots I have worked on improving the machine apps day by day implementing new features or improving the existing ones.

–Challenge: releasing 2.0

One year after the launch of StyleShoots Live we worked on completely reimagine the workflow and foundations to give the user more predictable output, much more creative freedom, and more control.

Our number one goal was to eliminate unpleasant surprises when exporting your final videos and photos.

To overcome this challenge we went through a couple of meetings with the technical team to revisit the fundamental structure of the software. The next step after that was to draw a couple of user flow to see how it would impact the user interface.

Then I went through a couple of UI experimentations in order to find the easiest way to implement all our requirements

–Toward a more “pro” target audience

After the release there was one more challenge to tacle: give even more control. So we created the “Control Panel” where you can get specific motor controls.
